Ventana Medical Systems, Inc., (ÒVMSIÓ), a Tucson, AZ based manufacturer and supplier of medical devices used in the diagnosis of solid cancer tumors, completed its initial public offering of its common stock. VMSI raised $21.6 million in new equity. The proceeds were used to expand its market share, working capital and general corporate purposes. Bear Stearns & Co. and Dillon Reed & Co. acted as the Company's financial advisors.
