Ventana Medical Systems, Inc. (ÒVMSIÓ), a Tucson, AZ based manufacturer and supplier of medical devices used in the diagnosis of solid cancer tumors acquired Bio-Tek Solutions, Inc. for $19 million in VMSI common stock. Bio-Tek Solutions was the only other supplier of histology medical devices used in the diagnosis of solid cancer tumors.
